We have 11 chickens of 3 different breeds, Orpington, Bantam, and New Hampshire Red. Their purpose is to till the grounds in the garden and barnyard to prepare for planting. They also help eat the pest bugs that can harm the plants. We repurpose their feces into compost to plant more plants. Once the chickens lay their eggs they are offered at our Farmers Market.
